Google paid its UK workers over £200,000 on average last year


The Silicon Valley giant paid a total of £656.8m to over 3,000 employees last year. This amount includes salaries, pensions, bonuses and social security payments. Google's filings show a staggering £1.27bn in revenue last year, alongside a pre-tax profit of £201m - a 34% increase from the previous year's £149m.

However, Google may be facing a significant tax hike in the near future owing to government talks about changing taxation on the digital economy.
