Facebook's data protection breach

Over 87 million Facebook users had their data shared with Cambridge Analytica, a political consultancy. Though the most worrying revelation was that Facebook decided to remove a feature that enabled others to search for someone using their telephone number. 

The issue is that this feature has been abused for a number of years due to personal data being scrapped from millions of public profiles. Abuse such as this can lead to serious repercussions, according to security expert, Ken Munro.
