Bitcoin faces its worst week since 2013


Students need to develop their commercial knowledge on cryptocurrencies and, in particular, the regulatory concerns which surround them. This is a very topical debate and law firms will expect you to have a working knowledge of the crytocurrency market and its blockchain technology platform.  

In the latest of the cryptocurrency saga, Bitcoin has fallen below $7,910 this week (30% drop), a staggeringly low value in comparison to the $19,000 reached in November 2017. The fall has been due to recently voiced concerns which have decreased global trust in cryptocurrencies. China and South Korea have already taken measures to oust digital currencies due to dangers faced through security flaws in computer networks.
