You need to remember a job application is a small glimpse into who you are, not just why you are applying for a job. The content and format should be reflective of your personal brand, what you value, as well as why you are suitable for the job. Don't try and be someone you are not by submitting a CV, covering letter or short answers that are written based on what you think the firms want to read. Try and let your personality shine through.
